Ocean Dream

A dream,
one that you can feel.
You awaken with a vivid memory of everything you have just experienced.
Words can never truly convey the profound understanding gained in a fleeting moment of realisation; so many layers to uncover.
I awoke; I had faced the ocean, looked into its depths, and witnessed its power.
I saw others, all confronting the ocean—some gazing out from the shore, others adrift at sea.
I was alone, yet surrounded. A journey I must embark upon, as others must as well.
To confront one’s evolution, one must grow.
To grow, one must step outside one’s comfort zone, ride the waves, and face the storm.
To evolve is to adapt to changing circumstances, to adjust to the environment,
not to endanger the very ecosystem upon which all life depends.
