Pond Life
When I was a young boy, we had a small pond in our garden. I would spend hours sitting in the sun, captivated by the vibrant life beneath the surface of the water. One day, filled with wonder, I took a jam jar and fashioned a makeshift net by tying some string around the top and attaching it to a bamboo stick. With great care, I submerged my jar into the murky depths.
My older brother watched with curiosity, convinced that my efforts were in vain. However, sometime later, I eagerly pulled the jar from the water, only to discover a minnow swimming inside! Without any bait, instructions, or a YouTube tutorial, I had successfully caught my very first fish. Overwhelmed with joy and awe, I gently returned the little creature back to the pond.
The powerful combination of curiosity, inspiration, belief, and patience had played its part. I was just six years old, yet that experience sparked a lifelong love for nature and exploration.
