The sun is providing the backdrop to a glorious summer day in Dorset, England.

I found this cottage in Shafetsbury, Dorset in a little town. I've changed it somewhat, taken away the neighbouring houses, the pebbled street and steep hill and given it a glorious garden. I've also added the woman from a previous painting of mine and then added a pheasant as at the time of painting I was seeing them all of the time. One walked in front of my car and demanded I stop and pay attention to his bright plumage.
