There’s a particular kind of heat in the Peloponnese, when the landscape seems to slow down beneath an enormous blue sky. The mountains fade into the distance, the grasses turn gold and the small white houses sit quietly amongst the olive trees.

The Long Hot Summer is my interpretation of that landscape, not one particular view, but a collection of memories and impressions brought together into somewhere that feels familiar. A place shaped by sunlight, colour and the slightly untamed character of rural Greece.
