A poem reflecting my life when I took this photo back in 2021

 

A man at war within himself

I wrestled to break the shackles that tore my life apart

Even if only for a time,

It was a descent into the edge of darkness,

A confrontation with my deepest fears,

A time to lose nearly all I held dear.

Yet, amid that numbness, that veil of night,

Deep within the cocoon of evolution,

I emerged anew, ready to begin again,

With a perspective transformed,

So many questions linger unanswered...

Now I stand at the cliff’s edge,

Lungs filled with air, sweat glistening on my brow.

Understanding to come, but for now,

My strength has returned,

Alongside new dreams, fresh visions—

It’s time to believe in myself once more.
