The Poetic Passage - Arne in Dorset.
Part Photography, part oil painting.
For me, Dorset represents family, particularly my mother, who lives in this beautiful part of the world. This artwork which is part oil painting and part photography is created from a collection of stunning photographs of Dorset, that I’ve taken near and around the Arne Nature Reserve over time.
Walking through this area of Dorset allows you to easily reconnect with nature. You can fill your lungs with fresh air, surrounded by vivid colours and an abundance of wildlife. There are calm seas, clean, quiet beaches, and coastlines teeming with rare seabirds. If you’re lucky, you may even come face to face with the Sika deer. Fellow nature lovers often stop to chat and share sightings of the rare birds they've spotted through their binoculars.
It is a different world here, unrecognisable from the busy city streets filled with car fumes. The countryside of Dorset is good for the soul, good for the heart, and a wonderful way to disconnect from the internet and all things technical.
